    Incorrect 1099's?

    Anyone else get 1099's with the wrong amounts this year?

    I got two that show more than I made, two that show less...

    Should I get these corrected, or is the amount that is shown here also the amount filed to the IRS?

      You should talk to the companies that issued them and get them corrected. Those are the amounts that were reported to the IRS, so they're going to expect taxes on that amount.

              So if those amounts are reported, the question is:

              Do I get the ones that were reported as lower than what I made corrected?
