Either of you have any clue as to inner workings of WRP at the time of iadverts start. You have no clue what was going on and do not have a right to post or slander anyone. You were not associated with WRP at that time. I however was the project manager for the company at that time and will tell you that things are not what they seem.
Evil did not slander the company, he simply stated that financially, he could not get things done because of internal issues.
You want to pretend that you know the deal because of what one person sais to you? Why not ask people that were directly involved and you might learn a few things.

Good and Evil Chris: Where do I start? I have heard both sides of the story. You guys are welcome to divulge any pearls of wisdom about what, where, when, how and why if you think you have something to add.
I am happy to weigh each opinion the same. Everyone is right. Nobody is wrong. That is the beauty of opinions.
But the facts which are not open to interpretation are really all that I am interested in. Neither of you guys work there anymore. Neither of you has generated the success and respect that wrp has in this industry.
Just a hunch, but I bet neither of you has helped as many people as WRP has helped either.
I know for a fact that EC dropped the ball and did not follow the directives of his employer to figure out a deal with us. I know for a fact that he dismissed the notion because he thought we had nothing to offer. It is a fact that everything that we had to offer was exactly what wrp wanted to do with us. I know for a fact that was a grand mistake and miscalculation by EC.
My opinion is that was due to arrogance.
Now you guys are welcome to spin this any way that you can to try and save face, but a simple truth remains: Neither of you is the success that you pretend to be on the boards. The moment you both stop pretending to be so successful and showing off for the folks that don't know any better and actually start working as hard as your former employer and the employees that make a difference at all the successful internet sites then you can tell me to shut up and keep my opinions to myself.
Let's just say I am not going to hold my breath.
What happens next? Do we indulge this further to see who can make the last post? How about one more witty rebuttal and spin control from the both of you and we call it off there? Feel free to call me names, criticize our success, malign our friends and partners. I am not too worried that anyone who actually knows the difference between real success and quasi success will be inspired by your diatribes.

We started looking around at who was really part of the bottom line and who was not. We trimmed the fluff and the fat. Many of those who were laid off or fired were pissed at us. Did we not understand that they had put us where we were?
Sure, we understood, but resting on former laurels is not a way to run a business. Where we were yesterday is not where we were in the present. We looked at who really made a difference and pared our staff down to less than half of what it was. Those people who stayed have been there for five or more years. We run a very lean and efficient operation now.
Now you may not agree with management's decision to have let you go. You may feel you deserve more. However, you don't get the privilege of those decisions until you start cutting the paychecks, plain and simple.

As Both chris's mentioned (and dugmor) WRP was a great place to work and learn. I'm sure we all benefited from this experience. I know I have and have prospered since. I would like to thank Danny And Carol for all the help they had extended to me during my period there.
But FarL you and your brother really jumped the gun on EC. He wasn't disrespectful in anyway on his first thread. He just stated the obvious for Livecam. Call the company and speak to someone there. Others on this thread invited EC to enter this thread in response to the poster. Knowing that WRP doesn't hang here ... IMHO Evil Chris was very polite and respectful by redirecting the poster in the right direction .. there was really no need for name calling by Moffat , or the slander that you thru into the conversation.
I don't want to piss you off or anybody else .. I just felt that the actions here were a little harsh towards Evil Chris.3D-VR live webcams

Vidvicious: You are entitled to your opinion. I do agree that hgmof's language was inappropriate, but I disagree that evil chris's original post was anything but a swipe at his former employers, albeit indirect in a kind of snide way. I know others felt similarly. That is not to say i am right or you are wrong, quite simply that is a matter of interpretation when regarding what EC posted.
If it was an over-reaction on our part to take offense to it, then so be it but that does not change the fact that I still think EC could've been complimentary and supportive. He was not. He said that people had not been paid which was based on a speculation. If you think that is complimentary, then you and I disagree.
On the other hand, your post and Dugmor's leave no doubt that you are respectful for the experience that you had with WRP.
I think my criticism is well founded and drawn from my experience. Please indicate where you believe I have indulged any slander because that is a serious accusation that I find inappropriate.
You are welcome to a difference of opinion but you cannot tell me that I am wrong to have the feelings that I do about this situation. I mostly respect your points even though I do disagree with what you are saying and I am offended by you describing my critique as slanderous. Far-L: I would simply like to state that I was not laid off or let go. I chose to leave as I felt it made sense given my position at that time. I have held good relations with Danny and Carol since and will remain to do so. I do NOT agree with many of the managerial decisions that were made at the time, and I was management at that time. I had to leave, and I did it on my own accord.
Your company, I will never say a bad word about. I have watched Homegrown video since the 80's and your taking over of the company was a brilliant move. Your move to tie in with Ron and CE was also a brilliant move. I have not insulted, and I will not insult your company, I think you've done a great job with it.
As far as WRP goes, as I said, there is more than meets the eye and Evil Chris is not far off base. He is one of the people that was responsible for creating the company and does not deserve to be trashed in the manner that he has been. There are many sides to a story as there are many sides to a cube. Each side is relevant and deserves equal attention.
If you want another perspective on things, feel free to email me or call me. I don't know if its even worth while but there are definitely things that Evil Chris stated that are more than true that he is being slandered for. I for one can back up anything he has stated and not only that, I can offer a different perspective that may clear things up.

Good Chris: I have not slandered Evil Chris, merely stated my opinion based on his original post and my own personal dealings with him that he is arrogant. Criticism is not the same as slander, nor is it libelous.
His original post was put in a way that invoked criticism. He refuses to see the possibility of that so he is incapable of apologizing for making it. Chalk that up to his arrogance. Funny thing, but people who refuse to see their own errors have no problem finding fault in others.
Do you think my brother would have had the same response to a helpful and grateful response like Dugmor's?
At this time, like I said before, I am sure there are many sides to this. Those sides are called opinions and none of them are any more or less credible to me. You are all right as far as I am concerned, including Evil Chris.
However, his original post was still inappropriate in my opinion. Nothing you, Vid, or EC say will change that. I am certainly not asking that he apologize to me even though he did indulge in some spiteful rebukes of me and my company. I just think he owes WRP a public apology.
Why do I feel so strongly about this? Well, our track record for loyalty and dedication to our partners is something that speaks for itself. In that vein, I thank you for your compliments of our achievments.
Now, if all the ex-wrp employees came together and formed a company that was more successful than WRP, then I might stand up and pay serious attention to all the spin about who made who what they are today. Like in any country, there are dilects - don't forget that Quebec (province) has had different immigrants from several french countries - there are French from France, Belgium, Caribbean islands, African countries. Here's me, DH and Carol Cox at a montreal conference. She threw a hell of a party at her impressive studio. Ive been dealing with them off and on for close to 3 years and I have nothing but good things to say about them.
