Well, I do agree that when we go to war with some small ass country, it's not exactly like we're fighting for our freedom. Security, maybe, but freedom, no. Saddam doesn't threaten my freedom. What we're fighting for is security and....We're fighting for the Iraqi peoples' freedom. And I don't think there's anything more selfless than that.

I don't watch CNN nor do I listen to Rush. Is a oil a factor in this war? Sure. But this war is not solely about oil. There are a shitload of reasons why we war with Iraq is justified. Go read my other posts.

I don't naively think that freeing Iraqis is the #1 reason. It's likely pretty low on the list of reasons. But, do you think our troops out there are fighting for oil? Fuck no. Their main motiviation is to fight to liberate the Iraqis and elevate our security.
