look, regardless of the war.. canada supports americans. But really, why iraq... i just found it ironic that its the bush family thats always after them.. and that osama bin laden has not been even mentioned at all lately. Im not saying we are fighting the wrong people.. but sorry to say, this is a typical columbia conquer and rape.
You take iraq, put american democratic government... give oil to USA and then thats it. Just like coffee with the columbians.. thats what america wants to do<img border="0" src="http://www.angelfire.com/home/kilgore20/images/marge.gif" width="110" height="76">Comment

I thought this thread was going to be about the French-Canadian fans booing the US nat'l anthem at a recent hockey game.
http://www.canoe.ca/Slam020424/nhl_bosmtl1-cp.html
Don't worry, people in Montreal have been known to boo the Canadian anthem too.
In fact, during the last Quebec referendum some Quebecers were seen whiping their asses with the Canadian flag.

The early hopes of the United States to drive the British entirely from North America were dashed by a series of defeats at the hands of British regulars and Canadian militia forces. Fort Michilimackinac, at the entrance to Lake Michigan, was captured by the British soon after the outbreak of fighting and was not recaptured during the remainder of the war. An American attack across the Detroit border was not only forced back but, under the brilliant generalship of Gen. Isaac Brock, ably assisted by the Shawnee chieftain Tecumseh and his warriors, was turned into a disastrous defeat. The army defending Detroit was forced to surrender, and the fort itself fell into British hands. Later the same year, the United States launched an attack on the Niagara frontier. Brock was killed early during the fighting at Queenston Heights, but the invasion was repulsed.Comment

And your apology does not speak on behalf of all Canadians.
Both governements are going to do what they want with or with out the people.
I for one am somewhat pleased with Canada's stance. We have peacekeepers over there, and that is what we do. Then we come in and clean up the mess. We do not have much of a military, hell our helicopters are over 60 years old, and if you haven't noticed crash into our ships on take off.
We all know that if Canada is needed to help out with this war then they will be there.
Until then please allow us to speak for ourselves.
Thank you and good night

Yes. People living in regions of what are now known as Quebec, Ontario and Manitoba were then referred to as "Canadians", just as we are today. And Canada is a British colony no matter how you slice it, so the argument that "it was the British" is neither here nor there.Originally posted by Rocky

Yes, the USA backed Iraq 15-20 years ago in their fight against Iran. Back then Iran was the real threat as we all KNOW (or should know). It is common knowledge.
But that was then, this is now.
No one said that Saddam then had a right to use those weapons to invade Kuwait, shoot missiles at Isreal, defy the UN sanctions, shoot at coalition forces over the no-fly zone, condone and support terrorism, blast thousands of his own people to dust, and threaten to upset the entire region.Promote Wildmatch, ImLive, Sexier.com, and more!!

* 344 ballots had no evidence that they were cast on or before Election DayOriginally posted by gregtx
as for the election.. appearantly you do not understand the electoral college and how it works... so please go read then come back and play
* 183 ballots were postmarked in the United States
* 96 ballots lacked appropriate witness information
* 169 ballots came from unregistered voters, had envelopes that were'nt signed properly, or came from people who hadn't requested a ballot
* 5 ballots came after the November 17 deadline
* 19 overseas voters voted on two ballots - and had both counted
all of these ballots violated Florida law, yet they all were counted
bush's lead would have vanished if the recount had been conducted under the severely restrictive standards that some Republicans advocated...the review found that the result would have been different if every canvassing board in every county had examined every undervote...[Under] the most inclusive standard [that is, a standard that sought to include the true will of ALL the people] Gore would have won by 393 votes...On ballots that [suggested] a fault with either the machine or the voter's ability to use it...Gore would have won by 299 votes
can i say this any louder? Bush didn't win! Gore did.Comment
