I think the threat of losing your car if you get caught DUI is a very serious detterent to drinking and driving (nothing wrong with getting wasted, just get a goddamn ride back home). Car repossession and some serious jail time (years, not days), will get rid of the daily horror stories of entire families dying in a car crash, while the other car's drunk driver walks out without a scratch!
