    Amsterdam: what to see, what to do?

    Already been there 2 times. Will be there next month for the convention. Have done all the usual stuff (museum, weed, hookers...) anyone got great restaurants & special activities?

    I always accept good coffeeshop recommendation

      i was thinking about going to germany then to hollend speificly for amsterdam

          Go round Anna Frank's house in Prinsengracht. It is an amazing experience, you can really imagine what it must have been like for her.

          A boat trip is a must if you haven't done it.

          Also a climb up the WesterToren church gives great views over the city.

          For coffeeshops, my favourite is the Bulldog in Leidseplein. (they have a great selection of dope - I always get their best hash, and best weed, and then mix it up). After you get really stoned, you can then go for a nice walk in Vondelpark.

          It is one of my favourite cities in the world (after Sydney). I lived there for 2 years, but it always seems to rain when I go there now.

              I saw this special on ABC a while back about this church in Amsterdam where they give out free needles and hard drugs too! Free Heroine...

              Worth checkin out at least.

              I'm sure if you ask around it wouldn't be too difficult to find.

                                      Prefer the tweede to the bulldog by far.
                                      But I prefer the old look than the new fancy look.
                                      But weed is still the same ;)

                                          My favorite coffee shop is the Kashmir Lounge. It's on Jan Peter Highstraat.

                                          My favorite restaurant is The Supper Club: http://www.supperclub.com/. You better make reservations now if you want to go there.

                                          A good Italian restaurant is Casa di David.

                                              A great restaurant: Rum Runners, on the Prinsengracht right next door to Anne Frank's house.

                                              Or at least it used to be...just realised I haven't been there in ages. Their spare ribs are absolutely awesome

                                                              OK, so I am the only one who likes the Bulldog....

                                                              By the way, does anyone know if there is any connection between it and the Bulldog TGP, as they use exactly the same logo, even down to the number of spikes on its collar?

                                                              I assume the TGP just nicked the logo, but I could be wrong.
