The inspectors were there, yes, but they were NEVER allowed to do thier job by being allowed immediate and unobstructed searches of any sites, and there were always a few of saddam's men around at the questioning of top scientists(always makes it easy to tell the truth). I believe if you look back you would see that the U.N stated it was willing to relax some of these sanctions if these minor and absolutely justified demands were met, this being after 8 years of Iraqi defiance.... They were not and to top it all off the inspectors were the kicked out of the country.
Still wonder why those sanctions were never relaxed?
North Korea is a little different than Iraq because up untill a year or so ago they more or less complied with what everyone wanted.. they had thier nuke plants shut down and allowed continued unsupervised monitoring of thier offending plants and substances. They seemed willing up untill then to work with the international community, that would be why the U.S seems more tolerant. Believe it or not the U.S allows the U.N to take obscene amounts of time to make the offending nations get thier shit in order before we even think about getting involved. I swear you haters think were some fucking "Ghengis Khan like, rape and pillage your country for no other reason than I sat on my nuts when I got on my horse this morning" type country.
I dont and will not pretend I know anything about Tiawan other than my alarm clock was made there.

Isreal is a fucked up problem and I dont see why the U.S allows them to do what they do, other than they are are only "trusted" country over there in that region. Like I said I dont see why they are allowed to do as they please, and I don't agree with everything my country does or has done but most of the time I think we are right in what we do.
