I was talking to my cousin's husband today about the impending war. You have to understand, he's an artist and a far left winger so we don't exactly agree on much politically. This is the argument I made to him. Let's say there are no police where you live and only your homeowners association can enforce the law. You have a guy that moves into your neighborhood. He does it by killing the people that lived in the house. Then when you're not home he rapes your wife, beats her, and tortures her to extort your bank account info. He doesn't kill her because he wants her to go home and tell the neighbors he is a man to be feared. You call a meeting of the homeowners association and you pass a resolution saying this guy can never do this again. The next day he rapes your neighbors wife and again you pass another resolution. He laughs while smoking a Cuban cigar and drinking scotch and does it again the next day. After you pass 16 or so resolutions what do you do? Sit there and let him do it again the next day or take him out? Then some guy in the neighborhood starts screaming we can't do it because we can reason with him. It just so happens the guy screaming the loudest is owed a lot of money by the guy that raped your wife. Do you sit there and say ok, he raped my wife but he owes you money so we'll let him stay?
