In this case I would say so...

I'd like to publically acknowledge the character behind our friend Validus!
I flew to Germany last week from Colorado to meet with a few friends in Wiesbaden.
Validus jumped in his car after a long days work, drove 2 1/2 hours to sit and have a beer and spent a couple hours just to say hey!
He then had an even longer drive to get to Nurenberg for a late meeting.

I my eyes, way cool and beyond reproach! I thought he was coming down to hang a party into the evening...but he just came down to be cordial and be a friend to us visiting a new country!

Thanks Validus...you are indeed appreciated and respected by me and our mutual friends in Wiesbaden.

Can't wait to come back and stay a little longer next time.

Please come back soon... That late meeting couldn't be moved... it was very important... but next time... nothing will stop us.

He was in Germany. I drove to down to Frankfurt. Then I drove to Nürnberg. Then I said it was good to see him again and to come soon again. Filled in?
