Domain buying scam...beware

This guy with the name Anthony Griffin sends out mails claiming he wants to buy your domain name. When asked what price hes talking about he sais he wants a to see a professional domain appraisel.

After googling his name i found tons of complains about him. Seems like het gets a percentage of the money people pay for appraisels from a few companies. And ofcourse he wont buy your domain.

Hi there,

I'm a domain investor. After doing a keyword search I have found your domain for sale.
I've decided to contact you direct via email. I've found your email address via WHO IS.

Is this domain still available for sale ?

If it's still available for sale please email me your asking price.

If you have other good domains for sale feel free to email me the full list with asking prices.

If I can afford your domain I'll contact you. Please don't send me multiple emails if you don't receive a reply from me and keep my email address confidential.
Just email me your asking price. If I decide to buy I'll contact you as soon as possible.

Do you have a PayPal account ?

Best Regards,

Anthony Griffin

Its for sale for the right price...what did you have in mind?

What do you men when you say "right price" ? I don't have an idea how much your domain is really worth.

Moreover, I need an independent opinion about price and potential of your domain.

Do you have an appraisal certificate for your name ? I need an independent valuation. Please note that I don't trust free or unprofessional appraisals. It can be an appraisal certificate from http://www.GreatDomains.com or http://www.FastDomainSales.com or http://HollywoodDomains.com. It does not matter because I know all these companies provide reasonable appraisals made by experts.

I must also see that your name has a good potential (appraised value over 2,000-3,000). I'm not interested in cheap names with small potential.

After I receive your appraisal I'll make my offer.

How do you prefer to get paid : PayPal, check or wire ?

Looking forward to your reply.

Best Regards,

Anthony Griffin
