Most of the time fraudulant webmasters will send all hitbot traffic.
if its mixed it's a little tough to catch at first. an acount will get flagged if there are alot of chargebacks then we normally contact the webmaster to see where the traffic is coming from etc.

trust me if your traffic and sales are legit you will get paid. we have been running paysites for almost 8 years now.

that is why we are way under 1% in chargebacks most chargebacks are created by fraudulant webmasters not surfers

alot of new sponsors have to go thru the learning curve of running a program and sites some succeed and some fail that is why sponsors resort to shaving, not paying etc.

I would not trust a sponsor I could not contact over the phone or meet at the shows. But thats just me I like to know who i do business with
Thanks for the explanation. I was thinking a bit to narrow (must be the flu). It makes sense that a dishonest affiliate who is perhaps carding would have to send some sort of traffic to make the ratio realistic. Hence you look for those things and monitor them.

So much cheating out there to watch for on both sides (affiliate and program owners).
