    Playstation2 and Bellsouth

    I can't get my Alcatel USB speedtouch modem to work with my playstation2. I have a linksys router, nic, two cat5 cables but it still wont work. It keeps saying that the eternet cable is unplugged but it isn't. Does anyone know what to do or at least a place where I can find out. I have serched probably a dozen boards with no luck.

    SIG TOO BIG! Maximum 120x60 button and no more than 3 text lines of DEFAULT SIZE and COLOR. Unless your sig is for a GFY top banner sponsor, then you may use a 624x80 instead of a 120x60.

      Is your ethernet cable a dud?

      I've had one ethernet cable that didn't work, but physically looked fine.

              The network adapter and a router can be pain to get working properly. Give this a shot.

                  Do you have a hub? If not, you'll need crossover cable to go directly from nic to nic.

                      are you trying to plug straight into the modem USB port?

                      that might be the problem
