Ok there is like afew different types of massages, shaitsu , deep release and some others...Ok wtf is the difference and which one is good?

Get Swedish, Deep Tissue, or a combination. They also have a 2-person massage, where you have 2 masseuses. Make sure they keep a hand on you at all times, and drink lots of water for the 24 hours after your massage.

Try a massage therapist affiliated with a chiropractic office. For stress stuff, I like a therapist who knows a combination of techniques, definitely including some deep tissue. Someone good, you should be able to tell "hey, I'm stressed and it hurts most here and here" and have them come up with a plan of how to fix it.

Plus if you have insurance, it is ussually covered minus the co-pay.

I like to get massages when I can, they are great stress relief.

If you just want to "relax" go for a swedish massage. That is a gentle massage that feels good.

If your muscles are all tied up in knots, like mine, go for a deep tissue massage. But be aware that it will probably hurt! When they start digging into you it can be pretty painful. You may wonder why you are paying good money to be tortured, but it feels good when you are done.

So that's basically the difference .. Swedish is a short-term "feel good" type of massage, Deep Tissue does you more good but can be quite uncomfortable while they are working you over.
