Ihad one yesterday..actually several. One was called "N-case"..this one needed a program downloaded to uninstall it..and still didnt work. The other one is "sahagent.exe (shop at home agent)....this is a motherfucker to get rid of. Have to gey rid of it via the registry....I welcome spam compared to this fucked up spyware shit.

I dont have shareware or adware on my computer... I dont do kazaa, bearshare, NONE of those at all. I can run adaware right now and it will only find cookies, I'm particular about everything else.

I got rid of it last night with Spybot (available at download.com). Took me hours to kill the fucker.. Starts with a full screen white page with text advertising spyware removal software. Went to the site to see if there was any info to use to track the idiots down and after that started getting the red console that says "wanna see something neat? hold down the enter key for 10 seconds" and of course while you are holding down the enter key they sneak some shit in for you to accept.. Very sneaky. Good thing I was taking my time and noticed it before I clicked OK.
Finally got rid of it and turned my PC off and went to the airport and caught my flight to Phoenix. Got to the Lightspeed offices and walk in and Rochard is about to kill his computer because he got the same damn thing.
and people think WE are bad!

Is it possible that it's coming from ICQ? It seems to me I only have these problems when I have an ICQ message box open. I'm using ICQ lite and they are HTML ads there - is it possible that these ads are popping the windows?Herschel Savage

I also downloaded a new update from windowsupdate.com that had an exploit fix in it. I did that and then used spybot. Not sure which one got rid of it, if it really did. I surfed for about another 15 minutes and saw no more popups.Old SchoolComment

A few days before I started getting this popup I started getting prompts saying that my icq was trying to close the current page if I left an ICQ window open too long. If I clicked yes it would make the ad at the bottom of the ICQ window close. Not sure if this is related or maybe caused by my firewall.Old SchoolComment

MAn I have had this shit for 4 fucking days!!!!!!!!!!!
And Yes Zebra it started with that fucking windows is trying to close something and blah bl;ah blah!!!!
And tyoday I went to download and downloaded every fucking thing I could for spy ware... Loaded em all and scanned em all!!!!
I then still had problems
so then I did a disk clean up and that held it off for a bit!!! But not completely!!!! FUCKERS!!!!!
So then I all a sudden my ICQ stopped loading and shit would freeze and be fucked!! I was like WTF!!!!
So then I completely uninstalled ICQ and reinstalled and it still wouldnt load!!!!!
But for about 3 hrs today I still couldnt relog into ICQ but durring that time I didnt have the FUCKING HAHAHHA at all!!!!!!!
So now I am home and I see this thread and my ICQ is working and still no HAHAHAHA'S!!!!!
I will keep you informed!!!!

my brother had this like 6 or 8 months ago and it came thru microshit messenger and wrote to the harddrive, then it can go anywhere on your machine.
to get ride of it you have to go into Regedit and get rid of it, then do a search on your machine to see where else it might be then get rid of that then reboot.
if you run the names of some of these companies selling the cure for this shit in Google you will find a lot of threads about it and how to get rid of it.Comment

I have had to deal with having my browser hijacked a coupla months ago...
Spyware Guard , yes I know it's another icon in the system tray, but it works...I have never had my browser hijacked since (and with googles popup killer no more of that nonsense either). I don't work for either company, just another programmer in the trenches.
