    going rate for domain names?

so, if a domain is fairly decent, but is getting essentially _no_ traffic in the last year, does that make it pretty much worthless?

even if the site is already owned? i'm looking to maybe make a purchase of a domain name that has been owned for a couple years, but doesn't appear to be getting traffic. just offer to pay transfer fees and like $10 for the trouble?

What do you mean by "fairly decent"?

Domain names with no traffic, etc. and still have a good keyword-targeted domain name is still worth more than the reg price.

It really depends on what you want it for. You'll always see a lot of smartass replies when someone posts a domain for sale, but that's just bullshit intended to drive the price down. If you look through the domain sales threads, you'll see a lot of decent domains going for nice pieces of change. If you're going to start an affiliate program or a paysite, it's worth dropping some dollars on a name that is cathcy and reflects what your site is about. Even for projects smaller than affiliate programs, it might be worth it to shell out some money for a really catchy domain.

Fairly decent domains still go for 1K or more.
