    Designers - Font organization discussion...

If you're anything like me, you have a jillion fonts on your system. We have our tried and true favorites and also, a billion others that just sit around doing nothing.

What are you favorite font organizing programs? How do you manage all your fonts?

i use a program called MW fonts i think.

just type in some text, and it will show it in every font installed on my system.

I do vary rarely go through them and clean out the lesser fonts or anything I haven't used to keep them down.

I try to keep it <1000.. thats enough to know most everything you use... and not too hard to find something you've forgotten.

                      i use adobe type manager
i has created groups for fonts
                      for example
                      gothic fonts
                      techno fonts
                      asian fonts
                      main fonts and so on

so only main group is activated
and when i need some other group of fonts to design with
                      i just activate it
when i activate it i don't need to restart pc or photoshop
i just keep on working with the new fonts

                            Adobe Type Manager - PC
                            Extensis Suitcase - Mac
                            They work prettymuch the same.

On another note, Anyone have a font converter for OSX ? I have so many great ones on my mac.
