Yes my department was very strict on that.. We were given tests every six months.. Now I have heard they no longer do it and the police academy here has taken out all physical fitness aspects of there training... fuckin stupid

i hear that firemen have a high incidence of heart attacks because their stress level goes from resting to a million in an instant when the fire bell rings. What about cops - higher degree of heart attacks and stress problems then the average population?

Yes it was very hard to go from a shots fired situation to a complaint about a dog missing.. It was very hard to remain a person not hardened by the job

Is it true that cops only give out tickets to ugly/cheap cars? I have never seen a cop give out a ticket to an expensive car like a
Mercedes or Jaguar... Everytime I see a car pulled over its always an ugly pinto one. I have a feeling that cops are intimidated to pull over people in expensive cars because rich people tend to be more educated and ask more questions and are more likely to file a complaint... whereas its easier to pick one someone who is poorer and driving a cheap ugly car like a Corolla or something.

I have never EVER seen someone in a luxury car get pulled over. I admit, if I was a cop, I would prolly feel more comfortable pulling over people in ghetto cars because than dealing with richer people. Is this my imagination or really true??

a former lt-governor of manitoba (who was a distant cousin of mine) got pulled over by a lady policeman here a few years back in a caddy that had no licence plate (just a plate with a royal crown on it) - apparently the lt-governor of manitoba doesn't need a licence plate legally. The NEXT DAY she was transfered to the NWT.
