Whats the fucken deal with pumping gas in Oregon? I mean im not compaining that somone else handles teh smelly ass dirty pump handle, but i when to give the guy a tip & he wouldnt even take it! said it was a law or some shit. Anybody clairify all this for me? Whens California gonna start this? when you concider the shit is 40 cents more down here,& you have to pump it yourself.

Safety Reasons.Too many idiots leave the nozzle in the tank and drive off,spill gas and shit.It costs station owners millions for enviromental spills ,so its easier and safer to have a attendant do it -

Just do what I do... buy some old beat-up wheelchair at the local Goodwill and throw it in your backseat. When you pull up to the gas pump, get the attendants attention and point to the chair in the back. They'll run right over and pump your gas right away, and take your payment. You won't even need to leave the car!
