I had a similar thing happen to me, but it was from the International Atomic Energy Assoc. The guys that were doing the nuke inspections in North Korea until recently. They sent me 13,000 hits in one day. The bummer is that it was to my blog of all places, so I didn't even make any money.

If some of the users have e modem-dailback system when they are working out in "the field" and use the acces to surf from home, they will show up as a CNN.com visiter to because of the dailback will gain access to the internet, not through a ISP, but through the dailin-pole they use.

I'm not sure but one of my logs indicate weird traffic sources as well. From Islamic sites no less. It may indicate pages they were on until my redirect script hits. Im not exactly sure.
