MTV - "True Life of a Gamer"

Oh wow...that was such a POS show. The Pac Man guy was a fucking joke....the "Order of Light" losers that don't see daylight...and "Fatal1ty" the cocky mother fucker. Okay, so I'm probably a little biased because I got 34th in the tournanment he won (CPL shit). I chatted with him after the show, he's such a fucking goon.

My friend was just chatting with "fatality" himself after his little MTV debut...pretty funny shit...here are a few things he said:

- Ace-AWAY> $10 says a bot is sending ads for fatality, he's not really typing.
- Ace-AWAY> I ALREADY OWN THE FATPOLO AND FAT BEENIE, I WANT A FAT JERSEY RIGHT FUCKIGN NOW.
- Fatal1ty`> I don't sell any jerseys:/
- Fatal1ty`> I just got a spot where I'm going to write tips and tricks for Computer Gaming World for UT2003.
- Fatal1ty`> Check www.fatal1ty.com/fatstore FOR ALL INFO.
- d3capitate`> quit spamming
- Ace-AWAY> Seems to me you were ungodly cocky and put yourself above everybody else, eh?
- Fatal1ty`> I'm always here hanging with the guys who game.
- Fatal1ty`> Through my company Fatal1ty Inc, I'm trying to create gaming products that raise the level of your game.
- Ace-AWAY> Fatal1ty, how with clothign with your logo on it "raise the level of one's game"?
- Fatal1ty`> These clothes I have are more for gamers to buy that has a cool logo on it.
- Fatal1ty`> But the FATpad
- Fatal1ty`> and other products I come out with in the future.
- Fatal1ty`> Will have significance of making your game better.
- Fatal1ty`> And keeping you calm.

Not so much him...but I want with a guy that was the #1 guy in the world for Starcraft a few years back...he was a fucking celebrity. Free meals all over, chicks loved him...it was fucking insane.

There was a girl like this at the Game Developer's Conference a few years back- she was the top rated female Quake player- if you could frag her even once you got a free state-of-the-art video card.

NO ONE could frag her.

Hot girl too. Rather frustrating.

For Daikatana I created some levels from scratch and also reworked a few existing levels. The levels I built from scratch were The Crematorium, Processing, the Acropolis, and Hellish Havens. The levels I helped to complete include the Dungeon and Catacombs. I also contributed two levels to the official map pack: an Abandoned Base remake and an original Greek episode map titled The Wrath of Ares.

Some great level designer she is... *pffft*

Yeah, "Kill Creek" wife of John Romero (brains behind iD Software - guys that made Quake series). Her name is Stevie Case...she was an interviewer at the CPL event (had pink hair, if you ever see her in the video). She works with some TV gaming networks now, travelling around interviewing people and covering events.

Was on march 13th at 10 PM EST...no idea about replays of it. I'd start checking Kazza and IRC channels (where the gamers hang, ETG/quaknet) for ripped versions.

whats the difference between what hes doing(playing games for hours on end, making money, establishing a business) and what the majority of this message board is attempting to do("play" around with porn, gallaries, etc all day and attempt to make money).

Fatality is full of himself since about 2 years ago.

He was pretty average at Quake1 and I remember beating him a lot of time on the Q3 demo (got a few screenshots from the last tight games)

I was playing about 5 hrs in a row everynight, with a bunch of spectators in queue. After his defeats, he always waited for another 30 minutes to try me again and again... for about 5-6 weeks. From the first to the last week, he went from 20-2 to 5-3 scores. He never beat me but I can tell you this guy really did put the time and effort to analyze and work on his gaming. (at that time, I remember only two people beating me by 2-3 frags [on 300+ guys], but they were anynomous) - The game was fresh and new.

I was not surprised he became pretty much the best player in Q3 then on CPL, etc... you can't go wrong if you have skills and play 8 hours a day. The final version of Q3 sucked bad though, and most good players did not really play it to have fun.

Anyway, I prefered a low profile guy like Gemini... or even Thresh that was way cool. They kicked ass both in 1on1 and teamplay.
