will provide the most info, or you can use the depreciated nslookup

nslookup -q=mx domain.com

will tell you all the mail exchangers for a domain. if they don't restrict their named-xfer, you could also pull the entire zone file for a domain.

For reference, a domain name can have multiple IPs...

If you have access to a Unix server, running:
# host IP

is a quick-n-easy way of finding out what the domain resolves to.
