What cracks me up is that one of HBO's arguments against increasing Gandolfini's payday is that the Soprano's doesn't look "attractive" for reruns/syndication. What bullshit-- their DVD sales for the past 3 seasons' full episodes rocked. What a fucking asshole, HBO only DOUBLED his pay per episode, I'm sure that he can live comfortably off of that.
It's also rotten to know that HBO made the guy a big star, if it wasn't for HBO, he wouldn't be where he is today. I guess that once you get big like that, you stab people in the back.Comment

Great writing doesn't mean shit if you don't have the right people in place to make it come to life.
And in regards to HBO doubling his pay...sure he could live comfortably off of that. But I'm sure that the HBO execs can live comfortably on the MULTI millions of dollars that show had made them. The guy makes the show. That's just the way it is. Without him, there IS no Sopranos. Can HBO still make assloads of cash if they are paying him 1mill per episode?
