    Opinions On This Billing Method

    What do you guys think about paysites that bill differently than what has become the standard of the adult biz - the monthly subhahahahahahaion?

    This isn't a new concept, there were guys doing it this way since the beginning - you bill a customer by the photoset/video - i got an email from a surfer who loves Wanton photosets, he chases them all down, he says he has spent $3,000 on this website and some others like it.

    I think he is an anomaly, monthly subhahahahahahaion much more profitable than this overall - due to recurring billing mostly plus i'm not sure affiliates would want to promote a site like this.
    If recurring billing went away, i think this would be a much better way to bill for porn.
    I moved my sites to Vacares Hosting. I've saved money, my hair is thicker, lost some weight too! Thanks Sly!

          there was a video site from way back that would charge per mb on their mpegs. you bought an amount (in chunks of bw), and then you'd have access to the files until you ran out.

          can remember the name right now though...

              suze has a video site where the surfer buys credits for b/w, there is a big celebrity movie site like that, and Earl miller sells photo sets on his site too.

              I think photogs think in terms of sets when they sell, and not 'subs' like the magazines they sell to think, so they give the surfer the same pitch.

              I think membership are better for both the surfer and site operator, - it is more convenient for the surfer (not continually going back to the wallet if the set doesn't get him off), and the operator since it is more profitable.

              I think this is why VOD on-line has not really taken off, or maybe i haven't seen anyone do it right, because the surfer doesn't know which movie he really wants to watch.
