Pretty sick.. Guess it's a sign of how spoiled today's generation is.. I can't imagine having any job and giving less than 110%. To do anything less would be utterly humiliating for me. Then again, every second not with my kids is spent working pretty much, so it's almost a way of life as well as an ethic for me.

But don't forget that both sides of the relationship have changed. First jobs were lost through down-sizing. Now they are outsourced or exported. And for maybe 20 years it has been common to hand out good jobs to people with the right bits of paper, rather than to people who can actually do them well.

Every place I have ever worked I have letter's of recommendations from. The problem is now day people who go to school or get certified get the jobs and that doesn't mean there the right person from it. I have a friend with a high school education that can do any programming design anything you need always gets it done on time and is one of the best with computers I have ever seen.
