With about 50 designers on this board, most of which would probably work with you...why not hire someone? Instead of wasting good time trying to come up with something that won't work...pay someone to come up with something that will. I'm sure someone will work within your budget.Comment

Because I'd really like to try it myself..thats half the fun of having my own site...doing everything for it..
I'm not a pro at this, I'm an amateur by all means and these are my first attempts at designing anything. I havent been doing this for years, only a few days.

Thats nice and all but if you wanna make money doing this, maybe you could choose a different path. Or perhaps, go with a more simple approach, used lots of text and tables. nice thumbnails, a decent logo and your set. This is better, but I still can't see that picture in the middle. It all has the feeling of pictures and text floating around without any cohesiveness. I'm Not A Huge Fan Of Capitalizing Each Word On The Entire Page. Noticed the page is one big image that's broken up into even size little rectangles for seemingly no reason. This will actually make the page load a little slower than if it were all just one big image (although, the file sizes on this page are small enough that load time isn't an issue here.)Originally posted by BBW Nina

man for a few hundred bucks you could get someone to do something awesome, why keep doing these 97 looking things and expecting it to kick ass?
anyway, not trying to make you feel bad or take away from your attempt, just when theres so many designers here, theres no reason for people to have sites that look like that anymore.
its totally non readable, the pictures look bad, the pictures look as if they started out bad, and then were over compressed or whatever happened, it makes you look goth, and it doesnt tell the surfer to get interested at all.
keep trying, or hire someone who can do the job.

My thoughts - the only thing you have on that first page to get them to click thru to another page is you, your look, your pictures. With the way they are now, they are too blurred out or faded or whatever to make that happen IMO. Also, I would separate out the different fetishes, unless smoking lactating is a new fetish. The thing most amateur sites forget is that you need to get their attention on the first page.. why make them click to see what else you have? Why not try to sell them on the first page??? Every page is an opportunity to get them to join and with that first page, you are not utilizing that opportunity whatsoever. Again, these are just my opinions, but I have designed several successful amateur sites.
