Tell them that you believe in god, but your religion calls god Ba'al.
In ancient Canaan and Phoenicia, Ba'al was one of the most worshipped gods, being seen as the master or owner of the world (as well as the god of fertility and sex). Christianity turned Ba'al into Satan (called Beelzebub or Baalzebub)) in order to make non-christian worshippers look like evil-worshippers... but few folks care enough about their own religion to actually do enough research to understand it's origins.
I digress however; I'm agnostic and have had to deal with this shit with some past girlfriends. If you're a decent person, then their own religious code says that they should accept you. If they don't then they should read their own bible.
