To all of you that talk shit about spammers.

I have seen just about every program someone is hawking here spammed on AOL. Whether email or IM spams I see them on a regular basis for programs large and small.

Now I don't really give a shit that someone spams and I don't make a habit of bitching about it but I have seen tons of people gripe about spam while their program is being blasted constantly.

I'm wondering if this is something you would rather not know about. I'm curious to know how much of your business you would lose if you had no type of spam from your affiliates. The numbers might surprise the shit out of you.

heh, I don't spam but I see people bitching about it when I just got an IM from SweetSuzie18 pushing their site. I would guess a large chunk of their income would be gone without the spammers in their program.

get real. do you know how spam has evolved on aol alone? email, chat, buddy chat sends, ims, room links, aim im spams, aim chatroom spams, aim invite sends. there are some very creative people online always willing to write a program using vb5 or 6 and spam with it. spamming will always be around, just new forms of it.

Are you serious? lmao If the U.S. cracks down on spam so hard that it doesn't happen from the states all the spam will just move offshore. There are U.S. spammers now with every bit of info related to their spam is set up in other countries.

On the same note I get around 5 spam emails a day on aol now and around 50 IM spams. Spam isn't going anywhere and if it moves completely offshore you will see more and more hardcore and illegal shit popping up in your inbox.

No business that profitable will just die.

I get spam from people pushing companies that, according to their terms and conditions, don't allow webmasters to spam their programs. I never waste my time turning anyone in though. Maybe I should.

We have around 50 friends we keep up with online that only use AOL. I actually like the service and have used it for 6 or 7 years now.

I'm guessing that there are alot of companies that really don't care.

still not true, esp. if your spamming using aol. knowing the right people or having a basic knowledge of how aol works and filters its ims/chatrooms/mail is a golden. i wouldnt recomend it to anyone but it is very profitable if you know what your doing(just like any business)

I doubt that. Blocking email from Russia and Asia wouldnt be hard at all. And I can guarantee that John Ash-hahahahaha will get a spammer who sent an email to an 8 year olds mailbox. Nobody will save him/her either.

Spammers leave theirself wide open for prosecution. You deliver porn to kids mailboxes and you are truly a criminal.

Ummm, I'm on cable. I connect to aol through cable. I've had cable since the first week it was offered here and wouldn't dial up to do shit. I made sure cable was available before I bought my new house and would not have moved here if it wasn't.
