Here's my take for what is worth.
You want to be with her but she don't want to be with you since she broke it off with you so you are wasting your time.
Therefore you should not even acknowledge her birthday or try to be friends as you said you don't think you can be just friends after dating her and 99% of people can't.
If she broke up with you just to make you get your shit together she is also not worth being with unless she was trying to get you off drugs or something. She is fucking with your head beacause she don't know what she wants.
Move on, plenty more punani in the sea.
If you are looking long term find one that is a little more sure of herself.
