Too, my wife had that about 2 years ago. It was a mild case of it, and she fully recovered physically, but it played hell on her nervous system.

It can be caused by viral and/or bacterial infections in the facial nerves... you been checked for HIV lately man? Could also be from herpes. Anything that will get in there and inflame the nerves.
