It's fun ... For awhile.
I played the demo, and it's not too bad-- But I've played better.
The graphics are lame (and the sound effects are annoying), but the fun part is driving the vehicles and piloting the planes!

Yes, there's a demo multiplayer version out as well as a single player version. It uses the Unreal engine, so the graphics are jaw-dropping. Get the demos at 3dgamers.com.online game ?
America's Army isn't too bad either, but it does get old (maybe because of my 62 honor).

BF1942 ROCKS! That's about all I can say. I haven't played Counterstrike in almost 3 weeks since installed Battlefield.
There are some sweet total conversions in the works. My favorite so far is Desert Combat. Instead of the old WWII weapons and planes...it's all modern. And the "enemy" team is Iraqi.Comment

You need to have a kick ass card. I went out and upgraded for the same reason. I didn't know my card was shit...my PC was just an email/internet box until recently. Multiplayer is the way this game should be played. 32 on a side. It's pretty sweet. The one player is cool too. my disappointment in the graphics was mostly the people. the terrain and stuff is bascially "up to today's standards". but the people aren't really. i dunno. the graphics are nice, just nothing to call home about, like splinter cell or ut2003.
most of the games these days are hard pressed to beat out the original unreal tournament.

BF1942 is an amazing multiplayer game for the WWII genre.. Awesome gameplay, thats for sure, graphics are of a new breed and i like what i saw.. The only problem are bugs. I have tons of them which stop me from playing it as often as i'd like.

I finally got Road to Rome a few days ago and have been back in love with the game. I have a 2.8Ghz machine with 1.2GB of RAM and a 128MB video card so the game runs perfect for me and the graphics look awesome! The new maps on R2R are a lot more interesting than the old maps and make things much more challenging.

You mean running a crack version? Cuz theres always about 40 servers when Im playing...
If you dont got a joystick I suggest you get one, it makes the game, especially DC, a zillion times more fun. You can really maneuaver in ways a keyboarder cannot.
