    Anyone know if it is possible to remove the text description from windows desktop icons?

    Make your desktop the same color as the font, then you won't see 'em

        Shit, I have 140 icons on my desktop, that means I'd have to type Alt+255 Alt+255 Alt+255 Alt+255 Alt+255 Alt+255 Alt+255 Alt+255 Alt+255 Alt+255 Alt+255 Alt+255 aw dammit I give up

            mule, do a search for a program called "TClock", this is freeware and can do what you need easily..

                      Organizational skills? Shit, what are you talking about? I have a whole disk full of folders called "old desktop", "old desktop 2", old desktop 3", "stuff", "stuff2", "stuff3", "morestuff", and "New Folder2" through "New Folder216"

                        Mine's the same buddy, don't worry about it. You only need to tidy up when there's no more room left on the desktop - and then you can just create a folder called "old desktop"

                          Amazing how different people use the same software... I don't even look at my desktop. Everything I use is in the start menu, and I use temp directories DOS-style for moving files around
