WTF! Austin SXSW Adult panel?

Okay, im either way the hell out of the loop, or SXSW sucks with their advertising.

SXSW is a 2 week interactive (computer), film, and music convention in Austin. I just got an e-mail through an unrelated to adult webmastering list that SXSW is having an Adult Webmaster Panel! Of course, its only covering a little piece of the pie, with mostly local webmasters (found a few new sites :-P) but still!

But, what caught my eye is the Adult Webmaster Party, Monday March 10th, at Elysium, no cover. Any other Austin Webmasters planning on going! I'll be there early, I would have to leave by 10ish.

Anyone else planning on showing up? :-)

Does anyone know if you need a SXSW arm band to go to the party monday night?

SIG TOO BIG! Maximum 120x60 button and no more than 3 text lines of DEFAULT SIZE and COLOR. Unless your sig is for a GFY top banner sponsor, then you may use a 624x80 instead of a 120x60.

It used to be known as Club Atomic back a few years ago.
Is just about the only decent Gothic/Industrial/Retro club in town.

The owners a pretty good guy, the bartenders are very good, and the music well it depends on who is spinning. The owners wife spins on sunday nights, and I just cant stand her sets but thats just be, im a retro snob.

By the way if we do have an austin group might I sugest a meet-up over at Mojo's Daily Grind?

I gotta say, i'm pretty disappointed with sxsw... having to find out about it here on gfy.

I've lived in austin for 20 someodd years now.

You can bet that I'll be at elysium (never been there) and if anybody is coming to town i'd be more than thrilled to do a hooters lunch or something along those lines.

Yep, im in austin, and the site in my sig is my good friends site. The sig was empty for so long, I figured i might as well promote something! :-)

The party is at http://www.elysiumonline.net/ Elysium. Its at 7th and Red River in downtown. No cover, no SXSW band required. I have no idea what I am wearing, except im fat, and probably will be in pigtails. I will be there early (8ish) because I will have to leave at 10:30 :-(

Brand new to the RSVP list is Alpha, from http://www.passionfruitvideo.com/ Passion Fruit Prodictions. In case yall didnt hear, she was nominated for an AVN award for pro-am video. Great woman to know!

Dinner, im probably sleeping. If anyone ICQ's me in the next 30 minutes, i'll wake up early enough to do dinner 51627432

Great meeting you Hooper!

And I loved seeing all the adult webmasters at the party. Kinda makes me wonder how to reach all these people :-)

Im planning on having a Webmaster party/meet and greet sometime soon, maybe juneish. I'll keep everyone posted!

Meeting Lynn was really cool! To say I know the guy that was the inspiration for Too Much Coffee Man is awesome!!!

Sorry if I missed anyone at the party, I had to leave early :-(

Hey StacyCat... I think this is their third year of doing adult Internet panels at SXSW :-) I know Danni Ashe spoke in 2001 or 2002. YNOTBob and I were invited to speak as well.

It was nice meeting you as well Stacy although I was more than a bit disapointed at the crowd. 99.9% of them were not adult webmasters but rather friends of the guy "lynn" that threw the party (he confided to me that he just spammed the bondage groups with the info, which might explain the clientele)

I know that while QB isnt Texas based, I can probably convince the boss man to fund just about anything. We'll be sponsoring a large bare knuckle fighting match here in Austin and are looking for any excuse we can to wholly fund webmaster gatherings in the area..... all we need is some proof that there are some interested webmasters.

Hooper, im definatly interested :-) I got a few guys from houston that are interested, and im sure with advance notice, I can get a lot of people interested

Bare knuckles fight? Sounds Great! Anything to mix porn and violence, im there

LAJ, I was only starting last year at this time, so I missed any SXSW adult panel. And with the price being so high for such a small seminar, I probably wouldnt make it next year. Rather save my money for something exclusively Adult or BBW.
