Hmmmm, cogent bandwidth plus non US/Can/EU NOC...
I think I'll pass. Maybe if the price was 10/mbps then I'd take my chances on an unknown provider.

Isn't that interesting?
Wow, your overview page looks pretty familiar too!
Also, it seems like your bandwidth is pure cogent. So .. were you just lying when you said you had multiple pipes through multiple providers? Wait, you don't really need to answer that question, given that almost your entire site is stolen.
Fedfest. If i were you, i'd stay away from these guys. The price does look tempting, but it's pure cogent. Go with the guys in my sig. I'm a very happy customer. They won't match that price, but you will get a real host with real service.
BGP is a must have for any host that really wants to say they are a player.
Really solid peering is also a plus for a hosting crew to have.
These things combined with toll-free phone support / various IM clients for support as well agressive monitoring make the hosting choices narrow down quite fast.
Its your business, give it to someone that takes it as seriously as you do.
You should look at c h o o p a.com (remove the spaces)
I have 2 dedicated servers and 50mb/s of burstable bandwidth, they're pretty good, have high quality tier1 quality bandwidth and have nice prices.
You'll have to contact them directly since it's not listed on their page, but they have a $500 deal which will give ya 10mb/s capped bandwidth, if you want it burstable, it's a little more.
PLUS to top it off, they're all great people, they're not only helpful, they're pretty cool

What's up with Cogent? Phillipine office is where our Tech
Support staffs are located. Our NOC is in Houston and we
also have our separate Tech Staffs there.

Why don't you address the issue of the blatant lies and theft on your company's website?
But have you ever wondered what you'll do WHEN (not if) Cogent joins the great big dot com graveyard in the sky? Don't you have a backup provider? like xo or level 3 or something along those lines?
Also, you never answered chodadog's post.
Finally, shouldn't your discount be EXTREME given that you provide infrastructure services in a part of the world where there are frequent insfrastructure issues?
By the way, anyone can claim a US office. Through VoIP anyone can have a toll free us number that routes over to an overseas line. Most Indian-based customer service companies do this.

You should give us a shot at hosting your server.
We host industry leaders such as:
Intel Pentium 4 2.4 Ghz
1 GB DDR RAM
36 GB SCSI Harddrive.
Free setup.
$260 per month.
? Server has 100 mbit capped port connection
? All components installed on servers are made Intel and their recommended partners
? All network componetns installed on gigabit ethernet and used CISCO switches and routers.
? 450 GB of data transfer per month is included (Additional traffic $0.2 per each GB of data transfer.)
? Minimal contract with prepay 1 month.
SIG TOO BIG! Maximum 120x60 button and no more than 3 text lines of DEFAULT SIZE and COLOR. Unless your sig is for a GFY top banner sponsor, then you may use a 624x80 instead of a 120x60.
Okay you say its capped... what is the actual BW delivery? 450 GB... that's too low, 10mbps x avg of 320GB = 3200GB a month
Do you use cogent or verio or other near death upstream provider?
At 260 per month, that's an anal ripout type of ripoff

Hey, I tried getting your attention earlier but I don't think you saw it. If you're looking for 10mbps for $400, I can do it. But you have to act pretty quick, this special is pretty limited and my supply is almost out, they're selling really quick.
This is for Phat Servers. Ask around, we don't run a "mystery" shop. In fact, we're in SoCal, I'd be happy to meet up with you for lunch sometime.

$400 a month? Too expensive. Anything around $200 a month? If Cogent, I'll take my chances if $100 a month

Ok, let me know when you find a reliable host in the United States that will give you 10mbps for $200. I'm sure I could use another gallery server...
Unrealistic? Unrealistic is someone who doesn't ask for a deal and push a bargain.
Sly, Rackshack is cogent though
I'm always on the lookout for a good bargain. I just bought a domain for $450 US dollars. The guy selling wanted $1000 for it in the first place.
You want 10mbps at 200 dollars? And you don't want it to be cogent? I'm sorry, but you're an idiot. At 3200 gig/month, that's just over 6 cents per gig. I know for a fact you won't find a host willing to give you cogent bandwidth at that price.
Even rackshack's 10mbps plans are $349/month, and that is pure cogent bandwidth (I believe their 700gig/month plans use other providers). And that's not fully managed either, as far as i know (somebody correct me if i'm wrong). Like i said, your views on the cost of a fully managed dedicated server with non-cogent bandwidth is unrealistic. Ridiculous, in fact.

You do understand that there is a limit? It's not going to constantly get cheaper and cheaper as you buy more. It's going to reach a point when the host simply can't sell it for any cheaper, or they'd be making a loss.
And that is not going to be for 10mbps. Not for 25mbps either. And when you are actually using enough bandwidth to reach that point, even then, it's not going to be 6 cents per gigabyte.
Assuming you have some kind of massive growth, where the only way you are going to get cheaper bandwidth is to get your own space in a data center, and deal directly with the bandwidht providers, EVEN THEN, will you not be able to get 6 cents per gigabyte.
