I only really know of three things that people become attracted to. sure attration is often based on all 3, but I'm curious, which one do you think is THE most important factor in determining whether or not you'll fall in love or lust with a guy.

a. PHYSICAL APPEARANCE
b. MONEY/POWER
c. ATTENTION on YOU

most reasons for attraction fall under these three topics. Which one does it for you?

for me with women money is least important when it comes to lust/love - couldn't care less if she's rich or poor, powerful or not. Then I'd say physical, as attention is probally the most attractive thing about anyone. least in my books.

This is a really hard question to answer. My current boyfriend called me to sell me a newspaper 2 years ago...never paid him much attention over the first year, when he would call me. Later on I did pay attention to him and found out he is extremely smart, sensitive, FUNNY (which may have been the most important thing) and attentive. I flew him here this year in March and we have a great relationship. He had no job, no money, no power and I had no idea what he looked like (and for the record I'm not an ugly chick) yet I took my chances. Now, in this situation I guess it was his humor/personality that I was attracted to.

In a different situation, physical appearance would have been my first answer...if I was in a bar/club.

As far as money and power go...they're pretty much moot in my book. When you go home at night (not you personally) you're just like anyone else...just a regular person. No one cares what you have when you're at home, what matters then is how much you love someone, and how you treat them not how big your bank book is, or who wants to know you because you're "powerful"

Attention is VERY important. My boyfriend is VERY attentive and if he weren't, he would not likely be with me. I have to admit, I probably am not as attentive as I should be though...something to work on.

only if they have a personality that allows me to be around them for more than 5 minutes.

Of course, women love good looking men, but put a cocky, arrogant attitude on them, and I am soooo out the door. I really hate to be broke, but it is not a factor when most women REALLY fall in love.

If I'm going to fall in lust with a guy, looks aren't a huge factor (surprisingly). Humour, self-confidence, and charm are everything. If he can challenge me to think about something new without offending me, then he definitely has my attention.

If I'm going to fall in love with a guy, looks weigh a little more, since I plan to be seen with this guy a lot. *wink* He needs to have similar goals or at least compatible goals to my own, and a willingness to work together on them (ie: compromise). And yeah, the intelligence and humour has to be there, or I won't be.

If we're talking physical:
- strong forearms (I really have no explaination for this one lol)
- a great smile that light up his eyes
- a body that is slim but not too muscled because big muscles gross me out

If we're talking on a more relationship type level:
- attitude really is most important. I can NOT be attracted to a guy who has a temper, acts all "pity me" or doesn't love life as much as I do
- looks are important but not nearly as much as when I'm just checking guys out. For instance, a guy isn't the type that I would check him out in a bar, but once I am attracted to him as a person instead of a statue when he smiles at me it doesn't matter what he looks like because emotional attraction is at least 50% of the total attraction.
- another important thing is how he makes ME feel. When we have sex he better smile at me and give me lots of kisses, stuff like that.

When I was in highschool my highschool boyfriend had money and it made me feel really uncomfortable because he used it to try to "win" me. When we fought he'd buy me a gold necklace, ignoring the fact that I absolutely hate gold. He was all about money and flashing it around. I've never dated a guy who made more than me since then, for me a guy with money is a turn off because of past experiences.

But there are lots of girls who can't stand the types of guys I am attracted to...it's so dependent on the girl. I think I would replace Money/Power in Sleazy's original post with "Attitude"...you can fit Money/Power into the attitude category anyway. Sure girls care what a guy looks like but if they're looking for a relationship looks aren't the only thing that matters, it needs to be a fine balance between other things as well. But really isn't it the same thing for guys??
