I don't make galleries. I have no artistic or creative abilities at all. I am a coder. I pay a designer about $30 per gallery that I get built. I am happy with his work and wouldn't consider using anyone else. I could care less what people charge. What I get upset about is people expecting a free ride. Free scripts, free hosts, ridiculously low priced design. Where will it end?
If people HAD to invest some money to get into this business there would be infinitely fewer newbies and therefore more traffic and money to go around. It's nothing personal against this guy. I'm sure his galleries are fine. Sometimes we all need a little extra $$ and this is a good way to generate that money.
