Pulling a knife to save yourself from getting your ass kicked ??

Since there's all of this fight talk going on around here, I figured that I'd bring up this point. I live in a small town, nothing much happens here.

Well, a couple of weeks ago a teenager was alone walking when he was confronted by a 3 other kids who were threatening to kick his ass, so he pulled out a 4 inch knife to scare them away which did work, but now he's facing trouble from the courts because he pulled a weapon on the other kids.

Do you think that it's fair that the kid is gonna get fucked by the court system because he needed to save his ass ?? They didn't really say who started it because each side said it was the other.

That brings me up to my question. If you were in the situation, would you have pulled out the knife or try to fight the 3 of them, most likely getting your ass kicked ???

Im going through court right now because my brother in law (who is very abusive) tried to break in my house and I pulled a gun on him.. and since he wasnt IN my house, he was just breaking the screen on my window, I get in trouble. and since the cops didnt see him do it they couldnt do anything

i have an 18 year old friend serving 2 years in prison for assuault, because he was jumped by 4 guys, pinned to the ground & had the shit beat out of him... they only got off him when he pulled a small pocket knife out & stabbed one of them in the side.

there were tons of witnesses that said exactly the same thing.

however, the DA made him a deal, which his stupid attorney took. if he'd gone to trial he would never have spent a nite in jail. but the DA scared him into thinking he'd get 15 years in prison if convicted, so he took the 2 year deal. whats interesting is the DA never interviewed him to hear his side of the story, only the guy that got stabbed.

the four guys who jumped him never even faced any charges.

and justice for all...

you gotta use whatever it takes to defend yourself..

back in my stupider days, in one encounter ... my friend and i were jumped by 5 guys.. long story short, i have nerve damage on the left side of my face from being kick repeatedly in the head while on the ground...

to the guys in the other thread who say the black guy was whatever for kicking a guy when he's down... u gotta play by street survival rules.... there are no rules

Years ago I was rushed by a very large psycho. I flipped open the blade, he stopped dead in his tracks and retreated, mumbling some shit about how he was gonna kick my ass. Never saw him again.

My brother got jumped by 4 guys in a mcdonalds corridor a while back (the 6 foot space inbetween the two sets of doors) He's crazy tough and into alot of weird martial arts, I am confident if it was 2 on 1, he would of had no problems, possibly even 3 on 1 depending on the size... 4 on 1, he had no chance... They knocked him to the ground and he was able to get his Keys out of his pocket and jabbed for the one guys eye and missed and took off the kids neckless haha....

Took us about 3 days to realize who the kids were

Nothing pisses me off more than some schmuck that pisses the hell out of me first and when I want to smack him around a couple of times he pulls a weapon into play. What a loser, like I can't do the same. Can't take the heat, stay out of the kitchen.

Now maybe if you're opponent is twice the size of you and you don't feel like fighting him, or the fight aint fair, maybe THEN you can 'scare' him away with a knife.

except in texas, i believe most of the US has the "one up" rule. guy attacks you with his fists, you can use a bat (maybe in some cases a knife), if bat then knife, and if he comes at you with a knife you can perforate (SP?) his ass with a shotgun.

i personally believe you should be able to use whatever "neutralizing force" as is necessary.

and i love texas' laws. you can shoot someone dead for BEING ON YOUR PROPERTY. even if they're not threatening your life, just your property (like theft and the like). around here, if you shoot someone in self-defence, they pretty much need to be in your house. i think that may even be the case with a gun. stupid fucking laws.

Move to Texas.

A few months ago three burglars broke into a guy's house. His wife and two kids were home, and one of the burglar's had a gun. Three dead burglar's later, I don't think anything ever happened to the guy. Only one of the burglars was actually in the house, the other two were just in the backyard.

I bought my mom and 2 sisters pepper spray. It's a nice feeling that if youre walking somewhere at night to have at least *something* you can just have ready in your hand on and make you feel a little safer.

I saw a thing on tv where a woman was mock-attached and she was armed with different weapons and the pepperspray was the only thing that the criminal couldn't grab from her and use against her (out of knives, guns, phaser)

This just happened in Fresno, California this week.
Three people tried 2 rob a guy at a service station, ( they pulled a gun ) he followed them in his pick up, bumped
them trying 2 get the Lic. number, they hit a big sign (on one of the main drags) killed 2 of'em, other is a woman in
serious condition. The cops arrested him for murder (the next day) the DA had him released think it was the second
day in jail. No way in this town will they ever convict this guy and the DA knows it. Pretty Conservative here, if in
were in the Bay Area he'd still be in jail or have a bail of 1 million.
