These are historical items, that's why they are allowed. Denying the past doesn't make it go away.
In many countries other than America, the government does not allow you to have free speech when it comes to history or politics that they don't like.
If Americans ever give up their free speech rights, like many of the Europeans have, then we are really fucked.
