It's nice to see that women aren't the only ones that get leveled with the 'biological clock' bit alone. But, maybe it isn't entirely a biological process. During most of my 20s I honestly thought that I never really wanted to have kids -- hence the dual-use for condoms.
But, the closer I got to my 30s the more I realized that much of my desire to delay having kids was based on a lot of pragmatic issues -- things like having a child with someone out of love and want....and not need; being financially stable enough to support my child even if it was on my own; and having enough of my own shit together, in terms of personal and intellectual development, that I could give my child the happiest, healthiest mom possible.
The more those things solidify for me...the more 'ready', at least mentally, I become with the whole idea.
