I think i'm missing the same thing you are.
Considering the entire Matrix Content problem, and how they made people signup look at content without even buying it i would be a little concerned aswell, especially if i am only browsing and not actually buy.
How do you know what the next guy who decides to warehouse your data is going to do with it if it'll save his ass?
