We've been looking into the personals business for a few months. Unfortunately, most people do not seem interested in selling profiles. Those few that would sell were either asking obscene amounts (like $7/profile) or were selling utter garbage.

I did it this way:
Joined personal sites and contacted those having interesting ads with photos and asked them if they could publish an ad for free at my site. After collected e few hundred I published the site at the search engines etc and still offered everything for free. 6 months later the site was running quite well and having paying members.

if you are looking to buy a database it gonna cost you a very large amount of cash..

Personals sites are a very work intensive job and also a along term commitment to get them up and running.

Also exspect a shit load of complaints from buying a data base. People will be rather pissed when they see responses coming outta your site when they know damn well they did not place a ad.
you can work through it but theres a possibility of alot of spam complaints since the poeple did not opt in with you..

I can also tell you this.. No one with a good database is gonna sell it. they would be fools , it takes years to build and alot of time to run it succesfully.

You could buy garbage profiles, but no one will sell you profiles with real emails, I wouldn't anyways they are worth too much!

Start as our affiliate, learn the ropes, when you have the cash to invest into programming and marketing start your own.
