I only had 7-8 drinks all night. if they would have been singles I woul dhave been fine. later i found out they were trippes or stronger....

There is only one realy way to stop this. Like Aarron said, just cease doing biz with these people. You know how it works from there. Someone will ask about them and you say "yeah their product or whatever is cool , but I do not choose to be associated with them becasue of their lack of professionalism." That is alot more damaging than any hotel repair bill etc.............
Make no mistake about it........I was in the Aerospace industry for a long time, I went to many conventions and seminars , there is always going to be someone fuckin up. PERIOD !! I have seen 50 year old men passed in hall ways and arguing with hookers. Some drunk some cold sober. Nature of a gathering.SCJason

One thing that is rarely mentioned on the boards is people abusing certain substances. I can understand a little but not to the point that it has you so fucked up that you can not do business or even enjoy other parts of the show. Stay and home if you wanna be a vegetable.
I am not talking about the person who occasionally gets fucked up, I am talking about the idiots who show up drunk/high/or whatever and you never even see them sober.
It's pretty annoying when you have a conversation with somebody and the next day, they don't even recall seeing you. So you have the same conversation again...and guess what? Same story the following day. I don't have time for this shit. I go to these shows to have fun and conduct business, not to waste my time with people who are too stupid to know when they have reached a reasonable limit.
Yes, I got pretty fucked up on Thursday night. The difference is that I still remember what went on, I did not damage anything, and I chose to stay sober once the show started.
The actions and negligence of one specific person at this show has prompted me to cut off all ties with this person from today forward. This is a person that I considered a friend until about 3 days ago. You know who you are so don't be surprised when I do not return your emails, phone calls, or instant messages.
Personally, I am down for starting an industry black list to keep these people away from the shows. Just do not allow them to register, it's that simple. The people who can not act responsibly can make a choice. Grow the fuck up or stay home. Your antics and bullshit are not wanted. Our industry has a bad enough reputation as is.
I would like to thank those of you who attend these events and know how to behave. The majority of the people have a clue but it's amazing how just a few people can fuck things up.
