The 'conservative' lie about how they favor smaller, less intrusive government and lower spending always cracks me up. Fact is that conservatives love big government and big spending as much as the democrat's do, just for different things.

The Repubs are probably slightly more delusional about the whole thing because they never seem to realise, as democrats certainly do, you have to pay for increases in spending with increases in taxes, or face Reganesque deficits and ballooning national debt.
