whatever you get, get a samsung. i've had several, and they survive everything. i've had them dropped repeatedly, survive rainstorms turned on, all sorts of crap. and they keep working. samsung phones rock

If you go with a GSM service provider..
I like the Nokia 6100. They don't sell them in the US, I bought mine from someone in Hong Kong that I found on ebay.
I've had the t68i and it sucks. Order the 6100 from a reseller on ebay and then get an unlimted minutes plan with AT&T for $100/month. GSM is the way of th future, coverage right now isn't the best, so I also have a $20/month backup TDMA phone. In the bay area, my service is really nice.

I use the Trio 270 in color, cause i can get onto the internet from any country that i have service , it covers most of Europe including UK and most of the USA including California. But like a wales forskin there is a big draw back, it was $700+ about 6 months ago i think its $400 if you sign up for service at the same time. Cingular sytem works fine with it

i had a 6160 for over 2 years. excellent phone. i have a motorola now, its solid but i liked the nokia a lot better. i noticed a difference in quality for the worse and the motorola was a new phone that was more expensive. safe to say my next phone will most likely be a nokia.Originally posted by iroc409
