Bill Mahr is back on Tv. YES!

So glad to see Bill Mahr back on tv after getting the shaft at ABC on his "Politically Incorrect" show.

I think his new show "Real Time" rocks!

Plus the fact he's on HBO for an hour means, NO COMMERCIALS and no censorship! And more time for meaningful dialogue!

Could not believe that right winger Ann Coulter going on and on how democrats who did not APPLAUD Bush on the "Missile Shield" in his State of the Union address had commited TREASON! The right wingers are getting crazier and crazier and remind me of the old pac man game..just going around the country munching up as many civil liberties as they can in the name of "HomeLand Defense!"

Just wish Mahr's program was on more than once a week!

I just watched it on Tivo..

It was pretty funny. It was stupid of ABC to think they could handle a show called P.I. in the first place.

They look like a bunch of pussies cancelling a show like that because advertisers complained about content. What a joke!

No shit. The guy dares to be politically incorrect (by saying that the terrorists, while wrong in what they did, were brave people) and they fire him. What a joke.

Bill is definately the man. Since he went off the air I was loosing my faith in human intelect. He through some nice curve balls into the discussion for sure. For one, why the fuck are we wasting 30 Billion to attack from Turkey as well as Kuwait? What a waste of my fucking tax dollars. Like we can't pummel the Iraqis army with one front we need to buy another. What our jets can no longer fly from one end of this piss ant country to other to carpet bomb all the civilians into oblivion??? Bush is gonna bankruped this nation if we let him. But, then again, he'll make sure him and his oil barren buddies are loaded when he finally gets the BIG boot - the old pipelines ran straight though Turkey, no wonder they want to buy them off early. Bill will be bringing down the gavel on him and his cronnies soon enough! My only complaint is the show is only on once a week. I need it everyday!! Give me a 24 hour liberal news cable news channel with Bill as the host - only in a perfect world.

There is a lot of tension in the area. The turks don't want the rebellious Kurds (which span across Turkey and Iraq) to declare independence as states always do during conflicts like this. So US troops through Turkey are actually more of a means to control the Turkish army which is also scheduled to move south as well. Why are we paying for this? That entire area has the potential to really break apart into several countries and this would have a domino effect on the entire region with stronger countries like Turkey and Iran for sure tempted to move in troops and occupy these unprotected territories. As a result this could severely jeopardize the oil production in that region for decades or it can of course have even nastier results if the war escalates.

One aspect of war (and this works well in that region because of resources and culture) is that by moving in troops and occupying territory, the occupying force now gets 'spoils of war', loot that they can use to buy more armies and go out to another territorry and before you know it you have sultan Osama bin Suleyman III is smashing the walls of Vienna again. Not good..
