I've been hosting with my current host for 2 years now. The plan I am on gives me 100 gigs of transfer/bandwidth a month with 6 gigs of space. For the past 10 months their service has gone down the drain. I've had numerous problems with them. Downtime issues, major lag time, slow loading pages, not responding to emails. It has been a big dilemma for me and I have been extremely loyal to them the past 2 years even with how bad the servers and customer service has gotten. But due to complaints from members with lag time, problems downloading and viewing images, I have no choice but to find a better and more reliable host.
Basically what I am looking for in a host is someone who can offer me about the same amount of space and transfer a month for what I am paying for now ($50/month). I run 6 different (amateur or cam related) domains. The package I am on is a reseller package which they no longer offer, but still offer the package to those who originally signed up for it. Due to all of the problems with their downtime and now non-existant customer service and major lag times it has just gotten to be too much to deal with.
The main problem I see when I look at new possible hosts is either they offer a lot of bandwidth with not a whole lot of space or a lot of space with not much bandwidth. I of course need an adult content host. I need a linux server so I can maintain my members site with the .htaccess, etc. I don't know a lot about servers and I have had to get help from my host in the past with certain cgi programs and mysql databases I couldn't get working. So I need a host that is willing to help or direct me in how to get things working on my site that I can troubleshoot myself. And i'm not willing to pay for help from a host that only helps you if you pay for their services.
So I am probably asking for a lot, but it is what I need in a host. If anyone has any advice as to good hosts or anyone who is reliable and stable with little to no downtime and has nice customer service and actually helps their hostees who don't know how to setup everything on their own, please let me know. I'm not willing to pay much more then $50/month, because I really can't afford much more then that. I don't use all of my space I am allowed but right now I use about 2 gigs with all of my sites combined. With photos, movies, etc. I need the ability to not be limited on space where I can add new movies and content to my members site when needed.
So again what I need is:
