Shemp's a genuinely nice guy. I've never submitted a thing to him and I really have no need to kiss his ass. But once you meet him, he's so truly kind and sincere. He's the kind of person that you leave a conversation with him and you feel good on the inside.

If he was an asshole and people were still nice to him, then I could see your point. But I don't.

Actually, I think this is Shemp's alternate character fishing for compliments.
