Strange Package From UPS ( GEEKTECH INC)

i received a package shipped by ups from GEEKTECH.INC 155 5Th Ave . S SUITE 500 MINNEAPOLIS MN
55401

i dont know what is that and in description it said " CD PLAYER " and it asks me to pay 42$ to pick up the package from UPS.

what the hell is that ? i dont even know what is GEEKTECH.INC and i never won anything in my whole life.

It is most likely a prize from our BBS or something maybe you cashed in BBS points for? The other option is if you use Stiffy Cash maybe an item that you used Stiffy reward points for? If you live in Canada the $42 is most likely some form of tax they put on it. You can email [email protected] if you are not sure and she can probably help you figure it out.

It depends on the CD player. Also, I think we are talking Canadian dollars. I doubt you can buy a decent CD player for $25 CAD.

That's right. The service fee from Canada post on my DVD player was something like $63 Cdn. I went and priced out the unit at local stores and at the time it was over $500 bucks.

Consider yourself lucky, the duty on things is so much cheaper than those goddamn UPS brokerage fees (Which are on top of duty). Like $50 on the hun PLUS duty..

It's probably actually an mp3 player.

Just before Christmas, PC was giving away digital cameras for most threads. However, those cameras became hard to get... back orders and stuff.

So the change was made to give away mp3 players. I received one of these also, quite a while later, as PC was hoping for the cameras, but they never came through.

As it turned out, it ended up costing me $40 as well, for customs to check it and everything.

Borders suck ass.
