    Best merchant account processor?

    Hello, whats the best company to go with if you do have a merchant account, and want to process off your merchant account? I heard authorize.net was good.

      Well auth.net is a gateway to process your cards through when you have your own merchant account.

                  Hi Wethoney,

                  No, that is not true. Auth.net is a Gateway, the are the isp or merchant bank that issues merchant accounts. They just send the charges through, whether by virtual terminal, Api links, etc, etc.

                  the only thing auth.net issues and does on there own is there E-check service.

                  The ones who get mad over 1-2% CB rate, is the bank or processor who issued you your visa/mc merch. acct.
