This is a notice to inform you about our bank's troubles we have at the moment.
After our credit card processing provider switching us off, we were advised that
it was only technical problem and everything's fine. Today, we have received
official letter from our processor stating the following:
CUTED TEXT START
ATTN: Adam Rich,
I have very bad news for you. I received information from my boss regarding pay outs
for credit card customers. One of the reasons they have cancelled our merchant account
was, that we cleared you as a "3rd party biller". So there came up several problems: Illegal
content, which was offered by one of our customers, chargeback-rate and 3rd party
processing. We can keep up credit card clearing with our merchant account till 30.02.2003.
After this date, we will be not able to handle credit card clearings with that acquirer. Surely
we are in contact with several new acquirers and it looks good to get new merchant accounts,
but we don't know when this will be. I will keep you informed regarding this case. So, now
we come to the main-problem. They have freezed all our turnover, which we had to receive
within these days to pay out our customers. As you know, ordinary we get our money later
than we pay out our customers. So we are still waiting for January money for example.
This money is needed to pay out our customers for their February money, which we have to
pay end of this month. They told us, that they are checking our case and that they are able to
freeze all our money, which they have, up to 180days. My boss, our lawyers and this acquirer
will have a meeting beginning of December to clear this case. We hope to receive the money earlier.
For your case does this mean, that we will not be able to pay your money this month. We are
trying to get this money a.s.a.p., this will be discussed in first week of March. We are hoping
to make payout for you end of June, if everything runs smooth we can maybe send you end
of January February money together, but this cases have to be cleared first at
this meeting. I know, what problems that means to you. We are in the same situation. I hope
that you can explain this to your customers and that they understand, that they will get their
money, but much later, because of that problems we have. You will receive your money!
I am awfully sorry for this. I thank you once more for your understanding in this case.
