Close... I started using the handle a couple of years before I even got connected to the Internet. I was in demo compo's, programming graphics, music, that stuff, all in Assembly to make the best graphics using the least amount of code, which what the compo's were all about. 64K demo's were the best ;-)

Anyway, EVERYBODY there used a handle, so I made one up. I thought 'The Hun' was very approriate.

I have a Master degree in Computer Science, but on the course they didn't have Internet. I wanted to know how the web worked so I decided to find out how HTML worked. So I bought a 5 dollar program somewhere that was used to make homepages. The program would take a title, a background color, an image under the title and links to other sites. Playing around with that program and checking the results in the generated HTML tought me about backgrounds, anchors, fonts and stuff. After that I wanted to check how to get it on the web. After a long search WSFTP was found on my provider and I uploaded the page. The links on there could have been anything, but they were links to adult sites, mostly previews for paysites. I passed that link (www.tip.nl/users/~t256553/thehun.html, don't bother testing it, it's not there anymore) to a couple of people on the chat-boards and that's how it all started...
